I remember at an open house last year, one potential student was a musician and could hardly wrap her mind around the fact we had praise bands and chapels. "You are allowed to do this in school?" she asked in disbelief. While she was thrilled with the possibility of actually playing in a praise band and attending chapel, many of our students have been through hundreds of chapels and the novelty has worn off for some.
This week please pray specifically for our students' attitude about chapel and that it would be a meaningful and joyous time for them. Pray that they would grow closer in their walk with Christ, are motivated to praise Him, and really look forward chapel days!
Our faculty and staff members put a lot of time and consideration into chapels, planning topics that will appeal and reach the hearts of our students. We are so blessed to have people with a gift for this critical aspect of our schools.
Psalms 150 Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!
